I am looking for descendants of Gilbert Thomson (b. 1829) and Margaret Neilson (b.1832), married 1851 in Shotts and later lived in Wishaw. Known children include John, Martha, Thomas, Mary, Alexander, Grace, Margaret, Gilbert, James, William, Henry & Arthur. Alexander (my grandfather born in Wishaw 1856), sister Martha (married John Sellars) and brother Arthur immigrated to the US and all eventually settled in Iowa. According to Martha’s obituary, there were 16 children born to Gilbert & Margaret – so I know I am missing some names. Would love to hear from anybody that is relation or knows anything about this family.
