To anyone knowing of the Thoms in Iowa. Hellmuth S/O Fred. Fred was brought to the U.S.from (Germany) as a Master Brick Mason. ( as the story goes ) he built homes in a location called Monroe Townsite,) in Monroe Michigan. Each home he built had a U.S. coin of that year, placed in the right corner of the door stone. He also built Monroe Rubber engraving Company. That still remains to this day. Hellmuth was born in des Moines Iowa. Thank you again Dottie Moore
