Doug,
Since my last post I've discovered that Laura Virginia___ born 1812 Norfolk, Virginia was not a Billups.
Her name was Laura Virginia SAVIER born 1812 Norfolk, Virginia.
Father; Joseph Savier, born 1783 Rome, Italy.
Mother: Mrs. Elizabeth Wolfe she was a widow her maiden is unknown, born Germany. Married Joseph Savier 1812 Norfolk, VA.
1831 Laura Virginia Savier marries George M. Thompson of the US Navy in Norfolk, Virginia,
From copies of letters from the 1830s I've discovered that Laura Savier Thompson was a very close friend of the Wynn, & Billups families of Baltimore, Marylad and apon her death in 1892 she was buried in the grave plot owned by Christopher Wynn and his wife Ann Billups. Laura's first husband George M. thompson died about 1840-41. She married Dr. Edward Baker 1846 in Baltimore.
