Ex-Operator In Realty Dies in 86 Year
P. K. Thompson, 85, of 2726 S. Jennings, retired real estate and insurance man, died in a hospital Monday morning after 19 months' illness.
He was born in Cleburne County, Ala., and moved to Venus in 1895.He came to Fort Worth in 1919.
His first wife, the former Miss Mary Hornbuckle, died in 1931, and he married Mrs. Priscilla Collins in 1939.
Survivors are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. W. L. Effinger (Jabie) of Burleson, Miss Mary Lee Thompson and Mrs. W. C. Pool (Julia), both of Fort Worth, and Mrs. M. G. (Marcus Guy) King (Jean Thompson) of El Paso; a brother W. C. Thompson of Fort Worth; two sisters, Mrs. Nannie Story of Gadsden, Ala., and Mrs. Arthur Lonnergan of Asheville, Ala., and six grandchildren.
Rev. J. Frank Norris will conduct funeral services at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Ray Crowder Chapel.Burial will be in Greenwood.
