Richard Frederick Thompson entered into life on June 5, 1939 in Michigan and left this world on March 12, 2008 in Sun City, Arizona. Richard was a retired U.S. Navy Aircraft Electrician & Flight Engineer on C130's who served in the Vietnam War. A master gardener and wonderful caregiver especially to his grandchildren and great grandchildren, "Tom" enjoyed playing cards, cruises and Disney World, and liked to think of himself as a computer guru. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Helen; daughter, Shelli Marie Burden; brother, James Bruce Thompson; sister, Audrey Aylsworth; grandchildren, Monica Green, Shaun and Jonathan Lydic; great grandchildren, Kylie Schmolitz, Brooklyn & Brendan Green, Jaycob & Aubri Lydic. Interment services will take place 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be made to any of the following; Pebble Creek Kare Bears in Goodyear, AZ, National Kidney Foundation, St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Gladwin, MI, St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Litchfield Park, AZ.
