Charlotte A. (Cribbs) Thompson Obit
CLINTON — Charlotte A. Thompson, age 98, of Clinton, formerly of Indiana County, Pa,, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at Lenawee Medical Care Facility, Adrian.
She was born April 25, 1909, in Plumville, Pa., the daughter of Christopher and Cora (Brewer) Cribbs. She married Robert Thompson Sept. 8, 1934, and he preceded her in death in 1972.
She came to the Clinton area from Indiana County, Pa., in 1967. Charlotte was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church and was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her four sons, John (Vivian) Thompson and Charles (Pamela) Thompson, both of Clinton, Dale (Linda) Thompson of Tecumseh and Hugh (Connie) Thompson of Lompoc, Calif.; three daughters, Katheryn (Dale) Isenberg of Limestone, N.Y., Agnes (Dennie) Frazier of Jonesville and Helen Stewart of Oakridge, Tenn.; one brother, Russell Cribbs of Lower Burrel, Pa.; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, five brothers and two sisters.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial service to celebrate her life will take place on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2007, at the Clinton United Methodist Church with Pastor Faye McKinstry officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. Burial of the cremated remains will be in Riverside Cemetery.
