Seek info on Edward D. THOMASON, b. 1818 in Yancey Co., NC (Whose father may have been William THOMASON, also b. in NC).

Edward had a son, Melvin C. THOMASON, b. 1870 in Madison Co., NC.

Family tradition is they came to NC from the Roanoke, VA area, and before that from the Jamestown area of VA.

This is not my family. I'm inquiring for a friend.
