Charles; It would hate to give the impression that I was gibing the man grief. My problem is jumping generations, and jumping without documentation. As far as I can determine, My oldest Thomasons were in VA in the 1700s. With the cited documentation I listed, it would be unwise and totally irresponsible of me to state the origins of that surname. I must admit that Thomason sounds awful Gaelic to me and as much as I wish it were true - I can't make the claim unless I have the documentation. Since I don't have it, "My Thomasons came from Virginia and it is believed there is a English-Irish-Scottish connection". Finally, unless we police our own, this fast internet stuff is going to make genealogy a joke - no one will believe anything you say. I frankly publish nothing, internet, letter, private msg, or phone call that I can not back up with a document. Thanks and good hunting, George.
