Wish I could confirm a positive ID for you but all the info I have about Elizabeth Key is three records regarding her mother's estate settlement. One of those records names her husband, Richard Thomson.Another refers to her as Elizabeth Thomson and the third is in Elizabeth Burford Key's will itself and refers to her as "daughter Thomson."Three of Elizabeth Key Thomson's brothers moved down into NC and lived in the Granville Co. area but I have no evidence that Richard and Elizabeth did.
It appears that Elizabeth Key Thomson could have been of age at the time of her father's death in May 1757 as she was not named in any of the guardianship records in which her brother's were named.I don't know that for a fact though, as she may have still been a minor but married and considered under the "guardianship" of her husband.I'm not exactly sure how colonial VA laws worked in that regard.
Let me know if you turn something up that helps clear things up and I will do the same.
