Thank you so much for the replies. Yes, I do know more about Joseph Thomason. He married an Elizabeth (last name unknown). She was born about 1793 in S.C. His daughter Temperence married Robert Willis also from S.C. They moved to Mississippi with Joseph. Daughter Hannah married Charles B. Harris. They were still in S.C. in 1856 but ended up in Louisiana. His daughter Sarah (b. abt. 1820 S.C.) married James W. Willis. They were still in S.C. as of 1856. His son Bartlett ( b. 1822 GA) moved to Mississippi and married Nancy Massey. Daughter Lucinda (b. GA 1825), married in Mississippi to Samuel Henderson (whose family was from Laurens, S.C.). Son Joseph Francis (b. 1831 S.C.) moved to Mississippi. Daughter Elizabeth Emily (b. 1834 S.C.) married Childers. Son Marion L. Thomason (b. 1836 S.C.) died in 1856 in Arkansas. Daughter Nancy C. (b. 1837 S.C.) also moved to Arkansas and married C.C. Tiffee.
It seems as though Joseph married and had children in S.C., then moved to GA and had some children and then moved back to S.C. before moving to Mississippi by 1850 where he is in the Tippah co., census. I have emailed Carol but haven't received a response. How do I obtain the book you all were talking about? Thanks for your help. Gayle
