Darren, there were two Thomas lines in Culpeper Co at the same time --one German, one English. The family of William Madison thought that he was from the English line until we had DNA tested on one of them which connected him to the German line. Both lines went to the same area of Kentucky and actually intermarried along the way. I only keep records on the German family -- one branch-- Michael who went to Kentucky. You just need to track down a male in your line with the surname Thomas and have DNA done to confirm which branch you match up with -- or if you can connect to the link that I sent - then you know -- ENGLISH. Take care. Marilyn
