Dorothy,no at least not from what I have yet,
this part of my family is a mystery that I am just beginning to unravel. I know that families often cahnged their last names to
gain their own identity, or to hide from members of family if there was conflict within, as there was with ours,I also know they came over from Alsace Lorraine France,
and that the last name was spelled Thomen, as is listed on my gggrandmothers death certificate,and that her father was Andrew,this area is also where a lot of the
German immigrants from Saltzburg were.this I
find in records of salzman research/ does this family cross paths with yours?
