Thistle's of Scotland
Posted by: Chris Date: August 11, 2000 at 11:25:43

Does anybody know the story of the Thistle's name and how it originated. I heard a story about the Order of Thisle of Scotland and they left for Newfoundland because their king died and they were forced out. Supposedly other highlander's took on the Thistle surname and left the country in support of their knights. Has anybody else heard anything story that sounds close to this. I can't remember who told me this to begin with.
