Ok Collen , Frances and Francis were married in St Pauls
in Harbour Grace. Angilican
They Had a Son Thomas William Bapt 16 Feb.1777. Rev. James BeFour Anglican.
Daughter Ann Thistle Bapt 16 Jun. 1782 Harbour Grace St Pauls Anglican Church Records REV. James Befour.
John Thistle Bapt. 27 Feb 1807 as a young man 21&1/2 of the Late (Frances) and Francis of Carbonear

Anglican.
Makes John born in 1785 3rd child of Frances and Francis.
Frances would have died abt 1784.
In the will of Franis he left Frances 2 house's 1 flake 1 Stage 1 Garden meadow. Carbonear Plantion Records.
There are records of Franis leaving John and Thomas her Lands as well as the land they already owned giving them a large holding in Carbonear and Harbour Grace. We could go on with the line of session but you will find that your Carbonear Thistle would have been Sponsered and changed faiths to Roman Catholic most probably by Harbour Grace Georges or Patrick and William Corner Brook Thistle's.
Henry J. Thistle the last time family would have been Methodist and his sons changing faiths witch should lead you to Blackhead records for Henry back to Frances and Franis the records are there. Check for Franis and Abigail
