Hi Collen, Some thoughs I have been running over in my mind.
John J. Thistle married Ann George.
Julia married a Murphy.
Bill married a Christine and Move to Bell Island.
Mother says they are some how related to the Corner Brook
and Cows Head Thistle's
>Your family Carbonear Thistle's...
>Do we know for sure what Faith they are?
>Harbour Grace and Carbonear Thistle some were Catholic.
>Corner Brook Catholics over Half are Catholic.
>Murphy is most likely a Catholic name
>Anne George's name is either Catholic or Anglican.
Have you check Roman Cathoic Records Carbonear?
>Surname George appears in Catholic Records and Anglican
in both the west coast and St Johns to Carboner areas.
let me know your thoughts on this also this is just a sugestion. I have learned not to close any doors.
