My husband's gt gt gt grandparents were John THIRSK(THRISK) and Elizabeth COMPTON.They were married 1758 in Skidby E.Yks England. Of their children a daughter Ann was christened Apr 19 1761 in Skidby and married a John SMALES Apr 1788 Skidby. It looks as though this is your lot too!
