I have all the information you refered to except the 1889 directory. Thank you, I will look that up. From family information, he left Canada under some pretty ugly situations. If I were to look for a person with an interesting past, I would look through old newspapers. But once again I cannot narrow my search down for a birthplace. I will double check, but I think I do not have his marriage info. I will check into it.
What I was wondering is how to get into Canadian Census, etc. Is there a free site to go to, or are the sites for a fee. Thank you, Mary
