Hi Jean, As you can see I was a THEWLIS too :) My father was an orphan but his name was Cyril Charles Thewlis born in 1900 he had 5 children 3 girls and 2 boys. He had a brother but he was killed in WW11. My eldest brother is called Ronald and he has had 2 sons. So you see our name lives on.
I have travelled quite a bit in UK and each time I always look in telephone directory to see how many of us are about. :) Unfortunately not many.
