Hi Don,

Michel Theroux was the son of Nicholas and Marguerite Guilbeau b.April 5, 1809 d.October 28,1891 Michel had three marriages and I descend from his second marriage with Rosalie Chamberland in which they had 12 children. Michel and Rosalie emigrated and settled in Keeseville, New York and it is from there that their sons ventured to Fort Madison, Iowa and Kahoka, MO. Oliver and Henry had ran away from home to head for the west, William served in the Civil War then went to Fort Madison, Iowa and Alexander (my gggrandfather) was sent for later because he was younger.

Michel's first marriage was Genevieve Lachapelle in which there were 2 children (one died at birth).

Michel's third marriage was Elizabeth Phoebe Vachereau in which there were 9 children.

So Michel Theroux had 3 wives and 23 children.

As soon as I re-enter all my data on my new genealogy software I will send it to you, I have a lot more dates and particulars on the families in Iowa/Missouri.

I would like to acknowledge that it was very kind of Beatrice Frichette-Knot to make a gift of her father's memoirs-Roswell Frichette that connected me with his memories of Henriette Theroux Frichette and her grandson Roswell Frichette (17yrs. old)of Keeseville, NY visiting the Theroux/Mitchells in Iowa/MO in 1912, it is priceless!
Thank You. :-)

If I forgot anything Don let me know, thank so much and take care.

Candy :-)
