I was adopted at the age of three weeks from Terribone Parish Hospital. My adopted family said that my birth mother was a young woman around the age of 14 in the Houma, La area at the time. (This would now make her about 36.) All I know of her is that she was named Deborah Ann Theriot and she was institutionalized for mental reasons unknown to my adopted family. She had said that she knew nothing of my birth father. My adopted family were told by my doctor at birth that she had been on drugs(possibly medications)and her family had a history of alcohol and this may cause issues with me. Well, I am looking to find either her, a relative, or a doctor so that I may learn more of my unknown past. It has been haunting me now for the past 22 years and I am longing to find out something. If there is anyone out there who can help bring me some closure and medical, as well as, ethnic history I would GREATLY appreciciate it!
