Diana,
Hermogene THERIOT's name is pronounced Armogene, but that is not the usual spelling. He was baptized Harmogene at Sacred Heart Church, in Creole, LA (v.1, p. 45), born 20 Feb 1893 to Arthur W.[illiam?] THERIOT & Lesima CONNER. This record is in Donald J. Hebert's SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA RECORDS (v.24 & CD101).
Arthur was son of Georges Adolphe William THERIOT & Marie Clorinde Florence SAVOIE.
Georges was son of Charles THERIOT & Scholastique POIRIER.
Charles was son of Thomas THERIOT & Marie Agnes DAIGLE, both among the first Acadian immigrants to Louisiana.
Thomas was the son of Joseph THERIOT & Francoise MELANSON (who also came to LA as a widow).
Hermogene's two grandmothers were sisters, daughters of Francois Valcourt SAVOIE & Marie Aspasie DUGAS.
