I recently discovered the following message from "Mrs. C.O. Theriot" of Lafayette, LA. It was apparently written in the 1960s to the publication Georgia Pioneers, Vol. 2. ". . . wish p. & bpl. of John Wesley Traylor, b. ca 1823 in GA, d. 11/26/1871, Caldwell Par., LA, m. Angelina Ferrand, b. 4/18/1834, d. 3/30/1930 in Caldwell Par., LA. They m. in LA ca 1850. Issue: Catherine M.; John H.; Nancy E.; Frank W.; Lizzie A.; Ida L.; Nettie; Chas. A.; Ollie . . ." My recent letter to Mrs. Theriot, written some 40 years after her request, was returned. I have TRAYLOR, REID/REED, BYARS/BYERS/BUYS, etc. ancestors who were in several GA counties (Jasper, Upson, Coweta) since the early 1800s, Tallapoosa Co., AL since the mid-1800s, and several Texas counties since about 1865. The family is Caucasian, mostly Baptist. Any connections would be appreciated, and I am happy to share further info. Thanks, Bill Reid reidw@reidpsychiatry.com Notify Administrator about this message?
