Thanks for your help. I do have the social security info for Robert, but am unable to find marriage records. He was married twice.
I do not have an actual link between David and Robert other than what my father's uncle wrote out once.
I have also found the Alice Prettie marriage record, but I can't verify that is the same David. My dad gave me different names for David's wives. I do have her as a possible wife.
Today I found a marriage record for David Therrault (minus the i) and Eliza Donnelley in 1886, which fits. According to the 1910 census, he was a widower at the time.
I have no idea where David was born (what part of Canada), or when he died, other than my dad barely remembering going to the funeral, so it may have been around 1938.
