Dear Martine,
I have found out that one of our ancesters journied to Jamaica as a lay preacher on the quest against the slavery trade. I believe he met and fell in love with his future wife there. I haven't got ant deatils yet, only that he was also a poet a wrote 'lament of the slave'.
