German Thelen Family History

I am very interested in finding out more about the early history of the Thelen families.

After doing a little research, it seems that many of the Thelens that came to America, including mine, were from small towns in the Rhineland between Trier and Koblenz.
These towns include Daun, Gerolstein, Hillesheim, Huel, Wallenborn, Horscheid, Darscheid, Shonbach, Katzeinkel, Zermullen,Welcherath, Mannebach, Munk, Drees, Herresbach, Kammelshofed, Kaltenborn, Dottingen and Kaperich. Is anyone familiar with the very early history of these families?

I also seen reference to a book called "Familienbuch Thelen 1550-1928" by Carl Thelen. Can anyone tell me how to find it?

Thanks much.
