Josephine's death notice in the St. Louis Post Dispatch read as follows:
Obituary: Theismann-Entered into rest on Saturday, April 7, 1923 at 9:05 p.m. at the residence of her daughter, Mrs F. H. Nettlemann, 6810 Melrose Avenue, Josephine Meyers, Theismann (Nee Riedy) beloved mother of Mrs. Pauline Strack, Mrs Dorothy Willmore, Mrs. Theresa Nettelmann, Emil S. Meyers, Albert J. and Edward L. Theismann, dear sister of Mrs. Johanna Impierris, and our dear mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother, in her eighty-ninth year.
Funeral Wednesday, April 11 at 9 a.m. from the Geo L. Pleitsch chapel 5966 Easton avenue to St. Catherine's Church thence to Memorial Park Cemetery.
Emil S. was the same as Stephen E, and maybe the same as "Anule". As the death notice indicates, several of their children did survive to adulthood.
Another source you might check: city directories. This is how I was able to "track" Herman, Josephine and the children through the years. You might be able to find Josephine with John Henry Meier their.
The Catholic Cemeteries records do show a JULIUS MEYER M buried Jun 28 1866 45 013 07 00PG Probably not the same, but a possibility?
If Mr. Meyer was buried at Sts. Peter and Paul; and Hermann was buried at Calvary; why was Josephine buried at a non-catholic cemetery? It's possible that she is buried with Mr. Meyer at Memorial Cemetery, instead of Sts. Peter and Paul.
If you don't mind, I would appreciate a copy of the NARA record. Please keep me informed with whatever else you find. Thanks.
