Thank you very much for your response to my plea. I also have Tisdale as son of Jonathan and Ruth Raymond based on the "best guess" in the notes we inherited from my Father-in-law's genealogical work, but I cannot find any substantive justification for it. I think there may be another answer and I'm working toward it, but without success yet. I note that Tisdale is an unusual name for a Thayer, and that one of the cemeteries in Taunton has a significant number of Tisdales and Thayers (including Jonathan's) in the same cemetery. I also note that Abigail Thayer (No. 4074 in the Thayer Genealogy), ninth child of Elisha and Anna Thayer, married Ezekial Fuller, settled in Attleboro (closer to Providence which is the locus of his descendants in our line), had a brother Jonathan, and named one of her children Tisdale. It seems to me these may point to an answer.

I'd like to share information by e-mail. I'll be glad to forward a GEDCOM file of my progress to date if you're interested in it. If you concur, please send your e-mail address to me. My work address is frank.osgood@lmco.com. My home address is fosgood@san.rr.com.
