Seeking origins of Elizabeth Thayer (b.say 1752), mother of an illegitimate son Ezekiel Smith, born 27 May 1774 at Voluntown, CT. The father of the child was also named Ezekiel Smith (also seek his origins). Elizabeth Thayer's son Ezekiel Smith was married 8 January 1798 at Voluntown to Lydia Frink. Ezekiel and Lydia (Frink) Smith moved to Homer, Cortland County, New York, where he died 4 February 1829 and she on 1 October 1850.
Any information on the origins of Elizabeth Thayer or Ezekiel Smith, parents of Ezekiel Smith (b.1774) of Voluntown, CT and Homer, Cortland Co., NY would be most gratefully received.
