Pat. I have just checked the post to the Thayer family forum and hope you may be able to help me. We have just learned the Rand Family may have a connection to the Mayflower through the Richmond family and Thayer family. We have established Lazarus Rand a Patriot of the American Rev and now are excited to determine if there is a connection to the Mayflower. I was told, Ebenezer Richmond who married Mary Walker had a daughter, Anna Richmond who married George Townsend, their son, George Townsend b. 1760 Taunton MA married Rachel Thayer 1786 in Taunton MA and their daughter, Rachel Townsend b. 1792 Taunton MA married David Rand m. Feb 29. 1816 Woodstock ME. In the book "History of Woodstock ME" it lists the Townsend family and the marriage of Rachel and David, as well as in the Town records. Aside from that, we have no proof of any of the other connections. In your extensive research can you find any information that would help us establish the connections? We plan a visit to Taunton MA next week and any information you could give us would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Bernice I've also posted this to the Richmond forum.
