Bob, You have the information correct, Minerva Thayer was a daughter of Elias Thayer and wife Mary A. Elias was born 25 Jan 1789 in Westhampton Hampshire, MA and died in Randolph Township, Crawford, PA about 1860/1863. Elias Thayer's father was Elias Thayer born 18 May 1752 Braintree, Norfolk, MA and died 1828 in Otisco, Onondaga, NY. He was a Revolutionary Soldier.

Massachusetts Soldiers and Sailors shows: Thayer, Elias, Northampton. Private, Capt Jonathan Allen's Co of Minutemen, Gen Pomeroy's regt, which marched 20 Apr 1775, in response to the alarm of 19 Apr 1775; service, 8 days; reported, enlisted into the army 27 Apr 1775; also Capt
Allen's Co, Col John Fellow's regt; muster roll dated 1 Aug 1775; enlisted 27 Apr 1775; service 3 mos, 1 week, 4 days.

Minerva married James Van Atten, who was born 1804 PA and died 1857 in Venango County. He was the son of Robert Van Atten.

Let me know if you are interested in obtaining a pedigree for Minerva. Patricia Thayer Muno, Thayer Family Historian, Thayer Families Association. (Tricia
