Hi Calvin, Thank you so much for replying. I have scoured MA vital records on line at NEHGS (now American Ancestors.org) with no success, only finding under Boston Births Deborah , dau Nathaniel & Deborah Thayer b 22 Aug 1678 along with a son Nathaniel b 28 Aug 1671. Boston Deaths: Abigail ( ) Thayer b 1639 d 20 Aug 1691 (52nd yr)
Concord MA vital records: Richard Harvey had 2 daughters b 25 Sept 1639 both buried 28 Sept 1639, wife Margaret d 2 Oct 1639. Now I know it was Wm not Richard Harvey.
An old issue of Plymouth County Genealogical Helper in an article "Codding Family of Taunton" stated Deborah Thayer was of the Braintree branch of the Thayer family.
There is a Nathaniel Thayer who m Rebecca Briggs 11 Feb 1690 Taunton vital records. Their son Nathaniel Jr b 11 Oct 1693. Who does this Nathaniel come off of?
Then an old deceased Codding researcher, Lois Berry, said Nathaniel Thayer m Deborah Townsend bpt 25 June 1650 d 1727. So you can see my consternation.
When did Nathaniel Thayer immigrate? How many original Thayers were there immigrating in the 1600's? Did his parents stay in England? If you have the book by Patricia Thayer Muno does she have an address so I could contact her to purchase the book or an e-mail address? How did Nathaniel get involved in the Iron Works? Do you have a list of all his children?
Many Coddings went to Bristol, Ontario Co NY along with many Thayers so these families have been intwined for many generations.
