I have scanned and uploaded the full pension file, a copy of which I received from NARA last year, for William THAYER of Fauquier Co., VA, b. ca 1750 ca d. 1828. After first wife Hannah Jones' death, William remarried at Mary Evans, at the age of 74. She was about 44 at the time.

Much of the pension record deals with Mary trying to get back payments because she lost her certificate. There are also details on their marriage, as well as details on when and where William served during the War. Any problems or questions, please let me know. Many descendants stayed in VA, but some moved to Ohio (Muskingum County mostly) and beyond.

I apologize it's not more organized.
