Mrs. LILLIAN THARP
Mrs. LILLIAN JEAN THARP, 81, a resident of Dallas for 25 years, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at her home, 1309 Fourth Avenue.
Mrs. Tharp was born in Van Buren, Arkansas and moved to Texas in 1917. She was a member of the Bishop Tabernacle.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. LILA MAXWELL and Mrs. ESSIE GOODWIN, both of Dallas, Mrs. BERTHA LOVELESS of Oklahoma City, Mrs. GERTHA MCMAHAN of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, and Mrs. BESSIE MCGEHEE of Wichita Falls; two sons, VESTER BRAY of Dallas and CLAUDE BRAY of Lequire, Oklahoma (near Stiger); a sister Mrs. ELLA BURK of Sallisaw, Okla.; 39 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Bishop’s Tabernacle, 1715 Forest Avenue. Rev. J. C. BISHOP will be in charge. Burial will be in Grove Hill Memorial Park.
