Can you tell me what year Casper Tharp was born ?
I have some Tharp data.

Some of a Jonathan Tharp 1793 and some of an Abner Tharp 1803 .
Thanks to a Mr Hendricks and my own census search etc.

I do not know how in the world they are related but they must be.

I also have some Goss data but I don't know what year your Elizabeth was married and I don't know her father?
Do you know?

My family is from the same area and it was often said that we had native American blood in us.
I found an interesting item in a Floyd history book.

This Richie family lived in the same area of the Tharps and Goss familys often this area is named called Irish Valley or Paxinos Shamokin TWP Northumberland CO PA.

Moses Riche (or Richie), son of the emigrant, was born in Berks
county May 14, 1773, and moved thence to Northumberland county, settling
near what is now known as Seven Points, in Rockefeller township, in
which section he was a pioneer.
The Indians were still numerous in these
parts when he located there.

He died upon his farm (then included in Shamokin township)
June 25, 1851, and he and his wife Rebecca are buried
at the Summit church in Shamokin township.

I am direct kin to Moyer / Cherry / Persing / Bastian
Some of these familys married into the Goss/Gass family

I have bits of history about many of the familys in that area.

I hope you can share some data with me.
