Your Harriet Raysor, middle initial "E", was first married, on April 26, 1859 in Ridgeville, SC, to William H. Mellard.they were married by the Rev. W.F. Mouzon.
John Elliott Thames (b. Dec 1823 either in Wales or in Clarendon Co, SC, d. Dec 26, 1893, buried in Magnolia Cemetery in Charleston, SC), was first married to Anna Rosina Caroline Joye, b. Sep 20, 1829 in Charleston, SC, d. Jun 7, 1866 in Charleston.Anna was the d/o Peter Sieversten Joye and Elizabeth Gleen Chuirch Joye.Peter was born Aug 9, 1803 in "Copenhagen, Kingdom of Denmark."John Elliott Thames and Anna Joye Thames had 7 children.
John Elliott Thames married, second, Harriet E. Raysor Mellard.(i have a death certificate for Harriet showing her date of death as Mar 30, 1905, age 72 yrs, 11 mos, 3 days.she is buried at Magnolia Cemetery in Charleston, SC.Her place of residence at the time of her death was 62 Wentworth St, Charleston, SC.)
John Elliott Thames and Harriet E. Raysor Mellard Thames had 3 children:
1 - Mamie (Marie V. ?) Thames, b. abt 1869, m. (--) Aiken
2 - Harry L. Thames, b. abt 1871, m. bef 1895 Mamie (--)
