The Thake Family Gatherings were organised by Goredon Thake, who, sad to say, died some five years ago and a second-cousin of mine Alan Thake. They have not been held for the last ten years or so. I was the instigator of the Gatherings, having been researching the name of Thake for the past 25 years or so. I live in Norway and my mother was Olive Thake. I think we have been in contact previously and I do have some deatils of your Thake family background. I have the family trees for the Hertfordshire, Essex and Suffolk Thakes, should you be interested.
