I am trying to trace our family tree on my mother's side, her name is Lynn Mae Thacker(originally Lillian). Her father's name was William Joseph Thacker, I believe and thats where we get lost. He was from the Ohio, Kentucky area possibly Virginia. His mother's name was Hannah Morrison Thacker. People always called him Bill. I can remember him telling me his mother was of mohawk descent and very mean, demanding, and always wanted things done her way. This started as a school project for my children but we would like to continue it. My grandpa died when I was 5 years old and there doesn't seem to be anyone around who can tell me much. I am willing to share all info I have. Please contact me if you can help.
