I'm looking for any information regarding (my grandfather)Jesse (F?) Thacker, born about 1878 in Illinois. The 1880 US census has a two year old Jesse F, born to a James F and Mary Thacker in Loudon (Fayette County), Illinois. Apparently the town no longer exists. This is only one county north of where my mother was born in 1908. My mother's birth certificat lists her father as Jesse Thacker and that he was thirty years old at the time of her birth. So his age, name, and the cencus record coorespond. It is the closest possible connection I have been able to find to this long lost relative. Can anyone help?
