Hello Jann
You are correct.three differebt spellings of Texter were used after arrival in Sydney on the ship"Ann Milne"
Texter:-Two daughters ,Margaret and Ann of William Thackster and his wife Hannah married in Sydney using the surname Texter. The mother Elizabeth Thexter married Christopher McAuley using this surname "Thexter"and their daughter Hannah married Willioam Harris in Sydney using Thackster.I believe Thexter is correct because many of the descendants have either a first or second christian name of Thexter.
Do you have an origin location in Co.Down.Ireland for the
Thexter,Thackster,Texter family?The shipping documents state
"Saga".Downshire(Apparently no such place)
Bob McAuley.Adelaide.South Australia
