Robert the Boatman's Wife: Davis or Davies?

Just a thought: Everyone has been debating for years whether the name of the wife of Robert the Boatman Tevis is Davis or Davies. There were a large number of DAVIS
folks who were in All Hallows parish, Anne Arundel Co., Maryland, in the late 1600's to mid-1700's. {See message 23072 on the Davis Gen Forum) Looking at the copy of the church records, the name looks like "Susanna Daviss" to me although Tevis does not have the double "s" Also there was a Griffith Griffin Davis born 1683 -- All Hallows Parish. Any one have any comments of this speculation?? Lana Tevis Griffin
