Do you know with certainty that this John HATTON shown in the French baptism information is the same?
Not familiar with him at all.
My HATTON/HATTEN family is out of England with John HATTON, the immigrant, arriving into Jamestown in 1613 on the ship "TEASORER." I'm not sure how many times he went back to England before his trip in 1622 when he was gone from Jamestown on business in England and was not there for the massacre that killed so many of the colonists.
He was a ship builder and ship owner as were so many of his descendants who continued living in the Norfolk, Virginia for about 150 years before there were many that migrated further down south with my group winding up in Mississippi and then Louisiana.
