Thankyou . I would like start with the orirgins of George Teater as Scotch Irish Englishlines of how the the Tetertons morphed into Teder to Teeter and Teater Tetor.
Samuel Teterton Tyrrell NC is shown as the as the son in law of Thomas Evans 1730s Samuel Teterton is found on Deeds Surry Virginia with Benjamin Evens John Evans the unlce and brother of Thomas Evans Tyrrell NC.
Surry NC 1730s Samuel Teterton drops Ton from name.
Samuel Teeder Teder Tuder. Signs deeds and name with X.
found under Samuel 1744 is Jacob Teder Deeds with in laws the Bruce family.
Jacob Teder arrives Edgecomb early 1750s with brothers Samuel Tederboth sered as Clerks of the Court Edgeomb NC
George Teder appears to have moved to Beaufort NC with his uncles Benjamin Evans George Thomas Evans and a Benajmin Tedder. George is taxed with 2 sons Thomas Tedder and George Tedder jr, by 1780 Tettor Duplin and Dobbs NC.

It strongly appears George Teater had 2 yrs between his discharge northern forces to his service 1760 with Nataniel Gist. He returned home toRowan county NC. The point where he and Samuel joined Daniel Boone from Rowan Co as Waggoners to the north French Indian War.
By 1759 to 1761 the older Teeders were then recorded as Teater and Teeter from Teeder Tedder from 1st Teterton.
Samuel Jacob George Benjamin shown as sons of Samuel Teterton and Mary Evans of Tyrrell. The name William comes by Samuel Tetertons younger brother William Teterton who remained in Tyrrell until death.
The sons of George Teeder are listed as George Tedder Jr Thomas Tettor Dobbs documents of tax lists Beaufort.
The son of Jacob Teder Teeder who morphed into Teeter Teater was joseph Teater Rowan tax list.
Samuel Teder court clerk of Edgecomb has no listing of children. Estimated Samuel died left young teenage orphans

Note post french indian war timeline. 2 years after George Teater was discharged from Col Byrds unit he appears in St Johns st Phillips Georgia 1764. Appears to be organizing Headrights or useing land patent. This means he was southerner used to the ground of the south.
