Yes its possible . Yet samuel served during the Revolution 16 to 20 yrs old. His younger brother George Teater jr was lsited as private in the Washington co militia during the revolution he would of been 15 to 19 during that period another indication the family stayed behind. Since the POA only mentioned Richard Teater and Parris Teater and no other childern of George Teater would indicate they were twin babies much to risk. George Teater was also listed wounded or fallen ill by the Mcspadden pension in 1778 while in pursiut of hostiles on the big sandy. Samuel also noted the following year his father George Teater was shot by hostiles on thier way into Kentucky 1779..
I do agree as you say . some of these KY records in regards census ect well are sort of skimpy unfortunetly many Kentucky records were destroyed burned lost to time. Much valueable information is gone. We can only do the best to reconstruct the family records with what we have to go on,
