That is interesting to say the least . This father of Clementine[alias Caroline] was a Paul M. Otwell who came to Titus County Texas via Georgia and perhaps Alabama . He had quite a few children. He was a half brother to a William Otwell, Junior who settled in Madison County Illinois , A rather long involved story about the Otwell people. I do maintain a data base on the Otwell family , creat by a Rev. Ed. Otwell [deceased] and myself over the last 10 years or so .
This Paul M. Otwell was in the Confederate Army, at a rather elder age , never engaged in any combat, but died from some disease he contracted. His family was later listed on an 'indigent family' list for Texas.
