In the post you are referring to, I was just stating what little I know of what went on in the past with this case, as far as my family is concerned, or that which I can still remember from when I was a kid. I knew of the case and some of what was said of the story of what happened, but no real details, as I was a kid and I was not really in on all of the conversations between my parents and their lawyers. And I have never seen the documents they had on the case which were volumnous and I no longer have access to them.
I haven't established a solid position on this matter one way or another, or on what acctually happened, or what could or could not be done in the present about it.
In spite of all the information and posts that have been posted on this forum about the land claim case, I still see very little solid historical or legal facts or documentation in here regarding this matter. Just a few quotes from some historical books referring to the matter.
There is no real complete details or any solid proof of what did or did not transpire in the past regarding what happened with the land, the alleged lease or trust agreement/document between the family and the Sulpicians and its actual or real contents (or even where it actually is. Nor have I seen any evidence as to if it ever actually existed, just an assumption that it exists. I've just seen people's personal opinions, conjecture, suppositions, etc.
I personally have never recieved or obtained from anyone any actual documentation on this case from anyone. Not any of the historical documents mentioned above, nor any of the documents filed in the courts regarding this case(The Original Complaint/Demanduer, Writ, Motion...) filed with the courts in the 1920's or at any other time to initiate the action, or any supporting documents/discovery filed with the original civil complaint. Either by members of the family or this alleged Corporation Tessier.
As I stated previously, I have not said that I intend to re-open or re-file anything on this case, or otherwise attempt to re-try the case. At least not in court. Maybe in the court of public opinion could be an option for some just to get some sense of satisfaction and to expose the truth.
I am mearly trying to obtain more information on this matter than the little meaningful info I have seen so far and to obtain some documentation on this case from someone, as I have nothing as far as the court filings that initialted the past lawsuit(s) goes, any written opinions of the courts, or a copy of the alleged lease/trust agreement.
I am not trying to put on any aires as you allege, or create any drama, be Shakespearian or whatever. I have no interest in such things. Nor do I need any drama or insults thrown at me because I am trying to obtain some documentstion on the land claim issue and any court documents in anyones possession, as well as more history on the case other than one quote from a dictionary.
I can understand that some people in here may be tired of talking about the history of the land claim matter and the courts cases and are satisfied with what they have found, what they know, or think they know, or have just read a little something about in a dictionary. For those who are satisfied with what they know and with what evidence they have and do not wish to discuss it anymore, or are have become exasperated with discussing it, fine I can respect that. That's your right. Nobody is forcing you to discuss it or participate in discussions on it.
However, there are other who do wish to discuss the history of the land claim and the associated court cases further. There are those who want more information on the matter and there are those who also seek to acquire some documentation and paperwork on this case for themselves like me. And neither you nor anyone else in this forum has a right to stop them or me from doing so, or insult or otherwise degrade them or me for doing so. If you don't want to discuss it, stay out of it. Don't respond to our posts. Nobody is forcing you to participate in these discussions or postings. Please respect our and my rights in here to pursue discussing and sharing information on this matter.
If there are other family members out there who are willing to help me in this pursuit without any judgements or insults I would like to hear from them. Otherwise, I would ask them to keep their insults and personal opinions to themselves. I don't need it. I just want un-bias and un-judgemental information and documentation regarding the Tessier Land Claim, the civil or probate courts case(s), whether it be the one in the 1920's, before or since, and any other legitimate and verifiable information on this case. Thank you.
Regards,
Jeff
