I was searching through the new online index of Chicago marriages, 1863-1900 [], and found this entry:

SCHNAUTZ, Friederich and TESCHNER, Jennie, married in Cook Co., Illinois, 18 June 1888, license #00128151

There was a Teschner family living in Chicago in 1900 with Prussian origins. It seems possible that Jennie may have been connected to them. I'll try to locate my notes on that family and send them along to you.
