I remember my dad telling my about his great uncle from Germany that came to America in the 1890's. It seems like he said his name was Henry, which could very well be the Heinrich Peter Tesch that you are looking for.
Also to confirm your information about the Tesh males going by thier middle names, I would be a good example. I am James Alan Tesh, but have always been called Alan.
If you need any concrete inforamtion, my grandfather has a very large family tree/history of the Tesh/Tesch family. Give me what your looking for and I'll see what I can muster up for you.
