I just posted some family information on THOMAS TERWILLIGER born around 1852 and living in Moravia, New York. Those names connect with message #89 dated April 20, 1999 at this Terwilliger family genforum site. I saw that you had posted on that thread. I posted the information on THOMAS TERWILLIGER at the Terwilliger rootsweb.com message list on Sunday, 6 Jul 2008. I found that information at a website run by Thomas M. Tryniski and this site is free newspaper database website and has over six million scanned, digitized and searchable newspapers from all over New York. The website address is www.fultonhistory.com and I first heard about it reading Dick Hillenbrands post at the NYOrange rootsweb.com message list. If the address I typed does not work---then try a search engine... If you visit www.Fultonhistory.com and type in "Estate of Hannah Cornell" using the exact phrase and fuzzy search then you will see less than ten listings for "Hannah Cornell" and few of those listings are the same legal notices regarding the estate of Hannah Cornell of Brutus, New York. This HANNAH CORNELL passed away on March 17, 1888. There was a legal notice published in the newspaper from the people of the State of New York Estate of Hannah Cornell: .....and there were many names and I did not write them all down...here are some names... Benjamin Terwilliger Lincoln, Nebraska David Terwilliger Gratiot County, St. Louis, Michigan Harvey Terwilliger, unknown Elisha Terwilliger Emma Kelly HANNAH BAIRD Ephalet Terwilliger Charles Skinner Dollie Terwilliger William Terwilliger Thomas Terwilliger Some other names Forbes, Pratt, Hibbard, Skinner, Cook. The Town of Brutus, incorporated 1802 population 4,777 (with the Village of Weedsport) This is the largest town population in Cayuga County. Source: Town of Brutus-local government webpage viewed July, 2008. They have some great links for researchers at that web site. Might not be new information for you but could be helpful for another person looking. This message if anything new develops some helpful search terms to use at the Terwilliger genforum are: Cayuga Weedsport Moravia Auburn Sennett Corltand Fingerlakes Seneca I don't know if that is your HANNAH BAIRD that is listed regarding the estate of Hannah Cornell who passed on in Brutus, New York. I don't know who Hannah Cornell is and what the connection is... What I do know is that newspaper database is a real treasure trove for any and all Terwilliger's who are doing family research. Best Wishes, ~Rosy Prospect Notify Administrator about this message?
