Alabama Terry's and Indian Connections??
Posted by: Dana Long-Terry (ID *****8484) Date: February 20, 2008 at 00:45:00

We have heard from several different sources that some lines of the Lawrence Co AL Terry's have Indian bloodlines. Has anyone proved this with their line? My husband is a Terry and has been looking into it but we have yet to find any proof. I have it on both sides of my family and we were trying to figure our daughters %. and was wondering about his side. My side is Creek Indian. We heard the Terry's was Cherokee and Choctaw? Any Truth?

Here is his line...

Stephen Terry -Martha Bracken
John Franklin Terry -Celia Basheba Cheatham
Charles Columbus - Hannah Pernicia Golyhaw or Golliher not sure ??
John Hulett Terry - Effie Maddox
Charles Cecil Terry - Betty Sue Wright
Charles Keith Terry - Dana Long Terry - my husband

If anyone knows for sure can they please contact us.

Thanks for any assistance!
Dana Long-Terry
