Hello everyone;
I have a request. All of you who have ancestors that originally lived in North Carolina but later migrated to Texas, Georgia, Mississippi and other southern states, please let me know what information you have concerning your Terrell's of North Carolina, and perhaps Virginia in the 1600's and early 1700's.
Over the years, cousins of mine as well as myself have had a horrible time trying to find the parents of our ancestor, Henry Washington Terrell who was born in 1823 in Indiana. We do know that his family was originally from North Carolina; in fact, an older sister of his was born in that state on January 20, 1816. There is a good chance we connect in some way to the Solomon Terrell who was living in Chatham County, North Carolina during the time of the American Revolution. I have joined various "Terrell" websites over the years. However, most of them have members who comment and provide data on their own lines that start from the mid-1800's forward. This doesn't help me in my research; I would like to find various Terrell lines who originated in N.C. but later migrated from there; I realize there is a good chance that my Henry had relatives who eventually lived in other southern states. And if his family lived in Kentucky for awhile, I don't think it was for very long. You may also E-mail me;
